Coterie 3 is a minimalist interpretation on paper of Calder’s famous mobiles and features a single, unbroken hand-drawn graphite line that is looped to represent a mobile wire. The art elements of line, shape, and movement come together in this playful series. The line starts its journey at the top, travels across to the right of the picture plane then rapidly descends and ends its time at a lime-green ball. A small black dot provides a focal point for the eye.
